Hampton Inn & Suites Williamsburg Historic District

The hotel was great. It was a one day stay and it was all great. The front lady was fantastic, kind and sweet. The hotel itself was good looking and for the price, can’t beat that! The includes free breakfast was great with variety. The indoor pool was clean. The room itself was clean and did not smell! Great flatscreen TV with good amount of channels. Awesome bathrooms

I’m writing this review while staying at this hotel. The good: Comfortable beds and friendly staff. Everything worked a it should. The bad: Dated hotel. Heater in room didn’t work. Smaller than other Hampton Inn rooms I’ve stayed (I had the suite and my suite is the size of a typical regular Hampton inn room) Far from the restaurants. The Ugly: We booked this hotel since our team was staying here. Our room got canceled without any notification. No call, no text or email. This also happened to some of the other team mates. Came to find out, they do this regularly. Hotel starts selling out and they cancel rooms and it seems so that they can charge more for that room. Ended up booking the smaller room, at the same hotel for $150 more for two nights. When asked, they said it is a management policy. I think the owners of this hotel should find a new management company. Until then, I highly recommend passing on this Hampton Inn and staying on the other three in Williamsburg or risk coming to check in to find out you do not have a room unless you pay more.

The hotel was close to everything. Great location. However the beds were the worst we ever slept in. We had two queen sizes beds. First night here we thought it was us. Second night we tried the other one. Nope it was worse. My back is killing me. Bad night sleep and a long drive ahead of us. That is the most disappointing thing we had happen to us here. I suggest you get new beds. For the money you pay it should be better quality. Sleeping on the floor on pillows probably would have been a better idea. Let them know when we check out at the front desk and he told us. Yeah you're not the first person to tell us that. Wow!!!!

Stayed one night and should have stayed two. The suite was clean and well prepped. The temp was perfect, bed and covering was great. The 4 stars is due to feather pillows remaing in room although Id requested feather free. We caught it early and put them in the hallway but since i have a severe allergy and had inquired to be sure only 4 stars. It was a great 3star hotel with good breakfast that's included. I would recommend.
